Have Hope Inc., a 501 (c)(3) agency, provides community based services (i.e., Mentoring/ Clinical Case Management & 1:1 Services, etc) to teach and/or enhance life skills, social skills and coping skills.  Have Hope Inc. delivers a continuum of services that develops and nurtures the skills and abilities of youth, ages 10-21, with developmental delays, psychological, behavioral, and emotional difficulties and/or a history of trauma.  Services not only allow families much needed support, relief, and time to recover from the extreme demands and challenges of parenting but also are flexible enough to be delivered in sufficient amounts, duration, and scope to enhance well-being, based on the changing needs and preferences of youth.

 

 

Life Coach/Independent Living Skills Mentoring refers to a structured consistent one to one relationship with the youth participant for the purpose of addressing self-sufficiency & daily living skills. Services are psychoeducational, strength based, and promote the development of healthy lifestyle choices regarding educational, financial, vocational, and physical wellness.

Social/Recreational Mentoring refers to a structured consistent one to one relationship with the youth participant for the purpose of addressing the emotional or behavioral needs in a recreational or social setting. Services are strength based, culturally competent, and outcome based.

1:1 Services refers to a structured consistent one on one relationship-oriented treatment delivery/ intervention implemented specifically to meet the emotional and behavioral needs of a youth. Services intervene to minimize the frequency, duration, and intensity of inappropriate, maladaptive, challenging, unsafe, and/ or disruptive behaviors in the youth’s everyday living environment. Services provide youth the opportunity to develop healthy, functional, and prosocial communication, interactions, and relationships through utilization of time-structuring activities, environmental strategies, immediate behavioral reinforcements, modeling, teaching of coping, conflict resolution, and social skills, etc. by a 1:1 therapeutic aide. Services are strength based, culturally competent, and outcome based.

Sitting Services refers to sitting with youth in a hospital setting, particularly in emergency rooms and/ or mental health units, to provide attention, supervision, support, and care. Services are focused on increasing the safety of the youth who are potentially in crisis (e.g., suicidal and/or homicidal ideations, distressed, or combative) and reduce the burden on guardians, caregivers, or loved ones in need of relief from the responsibility of supervising a hospitalized youth.
